Project Summary
The E-Governance initiative is an integral part of “Digital Pakistan Policy”.
In order to achieve these objectives, the various ICT projects are envisaged and executed. The current project focuses on Hospital Management Information System in all Federally Administrative hospitals under the concept of “One Patient One ID”. The objective of the project is to improve patient services through better management and efficient use of available resources both human and financial.
In Phase-I, the above mentioned objectives are implemented as model Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) at Children Hospital (PIMS), which has improved patient services through better management and efficient use of available resources both human and financial.
The HMIS application will be assisting the staff of Hospital, in managing and monitoring the complete activities of hospital. Computerization will allow the hospital management to analyze the problems quickly and take corrective action in time.
National Information Technology Board (NITB) customized and implemented the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) application at Children Hospital, PIMS. The said web based system is the intellectual property of Government of Pakistan. It is planned to replicate the said system in all the remaining hospitals under Federal Government of Pakistan under the concept of “One Patient One ID”
